At the University of Kentucky we are interested in facilitating the best learning environment for our student veterans. Membership with the SVA helps contribute through peer mentor-ship and a positive environment. Our organization aims to help develop and prepare our members professionally through leadership positions and veteran recreation.
SVA Membership
The Student Veterans Association is very diverse and encompasses many members from various backgrounds. The majority of our members are former members from the active duty component. We also have many members who are still currently serving in the Reserves and National Guard. SVA membership is not exclusive to current and former members of the Armed Forces. Many of our members are dependents and spouses of veterans.
How to become a member
If you are interested in becoming a member of the SVA please stop by the Veterans Resource Center in 124 Funkhouser and fill out a blue-card. We will keep you up to date with all of our upcoming events.
